Aindram Volume II Released!

We are pleased to announce the release of Aindram Volume II, the second musical offering from Aindram.

Following the first volume, this collection goes deeper into the power, grandeur and vitality associated with Indra, the mighty wielder of the Vajra.

The album brings together five principal compositions, accompanied by special festive and morning reprises, creating different moods around the same central invocation.

The Songs

Mahān Indro Vajravān opens the album with a declaration of grandeur. Indra, the mighty bearer of the Vajra, stands as an image of strength, sovereignty and unstoppable power.

Tam Mahendram Huvema is an invocation to the great Indra, calling upon his presence and power. The composition builds the feeling of approaching a great divine force with confidence and reverence.

Indrasya Pārśve Abhigamyase carries the listener toward Indra’s presence, evoking the idea of drawing near to the powerful and finding strength in that proximity.

Indra Vajrasamam Cetaḥ turns inward. The Vajra becomes an image of a powerful, decisive and unshakable mind, bringing the qualities of Indra into the human sphere.

Indra Somam Piba is an invitation to Indra to partake of Soma, carrying the album toward celebration, vitality and divine exhilaration.

The album then expands these compositions through Festive Reprises and Morning Reprises, giving the music new contexts and moods.

The festive versions bring greater celebration and energy, while the morning versions are intended to accompany the beginning of a new day with a sense of clarity, optimism and renewed strength.

More than music

Aindram is an exploration of how Vedic inspiration can find a place in contemporary life.

These compositions are not attempts to reproduce ancient Vedic hymns as they were performed in their original context. They are modern musical works drawing inspiration from Vedic poetry, imagery and the enduring qualities associated with Indra.

The aim is to create music that can energise, elevate and renew the mind.

Music for the morning.

Music for moments when courage is needed.

Music for celebration.

And music for those who carry responsibility and simply need to regain their strength.
